Dr. Jennifer was born and raised in Vancouver, with a veterinary degree from New Zealand. She has particular interests in dermatology, ultrasonography, and internal medicine, but loves to explore more facets of veterinary medicine. During her free time, she loves kayaking and hiking, and is often seen relaxing outdoors with her American Eskimo X, Pika.
Dr. Elena was born in Madrid, Spain, and graduated from the Completense University of Madrid in Veterinary Medicine. Her interests in veterinary medicine are wide; however, she is particularly interested in ophthalmology and internal medicine. She enjoys hiking in summer, and loves skiing in winter. Her pet family is made up of a very friendly dog named Juno.
Dr. Avtar has been a licensed veterinarian since 1988. He joined the armed forces as a veterinarian, before moving to Vancouver with his family. He has been Chair of the Board of Examiners for the BC Veterinary Medical Association; twice-elected Councilor for the College of Veterinarians of BC; and Vice President of the College of Veterinarians of BC. He likes working on medical cases, especially soft-tissue and orthopedic surgeries. In his spare time he likes hiking, playing group sports, and golfing. Dr. Avtar, his wife, and daughter Kiram, have a Pomeranian named Truffles.
Dr. John grew up in Alberta and graduated with honours from Ontario Veterinary College in 1981. He is a member of the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association; the College of Veterinarians of BC; The Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians; and the Association of Sugar Glider Veterinarians. He has a broad base of knowledge and experience ranging from dental procedures to complex surgeries. He stays up-to-date on the latest innovations in veterinary medicine, attending conferences annually, and is a proud member of the Veterinary Information Network.
